ABSTRACT
With the Tanzimat, Ahmed Midhat Efendi who was one of the important people of literature of Osmanlı that is living some changes with the West’s effects. In the same time Ahmed Midhat was one of the important people with Turkish idea and philosopy life. He interested with philosophical ideas that coming from West and translated or wrote many texts for the Turkish people’s education. Because of some article in Dağarcık, some people accusationed Ahmed Midhat about he was a materialist and atheist. But he has ever been a materialist or atheist. In this work, we want to explain and prof that Ahmed Midhat is only stay as an Muslim. On the other hand, we want to tell some knowledge about Dağarcık and it was not a journal that about only materialism.
