1467200249 THE TRAINS PASSING THROUGH THE CANVAS OF THE ARTISTS: THE TRAIN IN THE PAINTING

When someone talks about trains, most of us imagine the black trains which puff leaving a dark cloud of smoke behind. From their invention until today, trains and their spaces are mentioned by many branches of art like literature, cinema, painting and poetry. What makes them the point of interest? Is it because of their visuality - as a sign of modernism - or because of the fact that they can touch the social life, the living and the humanity? In this article it is given place the subject of train-station which we can no more see as a topic in modern painting; and it is tried to be studied the paintings of Nedim Günsür, Neşe Erdok, Cloud Monet, William Turner and their manner of approach.
