The illustration, including science, publications and advertisements, have become a necessity in today's medical science. Especially in medical education, medical studies and in social informations, it is possible to visualize the human body in a clear and understandable way through medical illustrations. This field also includes medical illustrations used in the introduction of new medical techniques and tools that emerged with the development of technology, infographics made to inform the target group and to raise awareness. Considering it is an indispensable tool visualization throughout the history of medical science, is part of a quality education in medicine, should be sufficient scientific level with a medical illustrations. Illustration implementation understandably, is extremely important in terms of reflecting the accuracy of medical information. Therefore, medical illustration can provide an effective transfer is only possible with sufficient knowledge of medicine and the arts. In this study, the medical science and the art of illustration are discussed with practical examples from the development of medical illustration and the necessity for each other.
