idil is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal of research on art and language, published four times a year since 2012. All its articles are free to read.
idil is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research on art and language. It has been published since 2012 by Sanat ve Dil Araştırmaları Enstitüsü (SADA Institute) on the Artsürem journal platform.
Aims and scope
idil brings together the aesthetic and theoretical dimensions of art and the scholarly study of language. Language and art as means of intercultural communication are its main concern. Its scope covers all fields of art and language, in particular language and linguistics, literature, cultural studies, art theory, visual, written and oral culture, popular culture, folk art, music, film and art movements.
The journal publishes research articles, review articles, book reviews, interviews and translations. Its readers are researchers, artists and students working on art and language.
Publication details
- Frequency: four issues a year (March, June, October, December)
- Languages: Turkish, English and Russian. Every article has a title, an abstract and keywords in Turkish and in English.
- Peer review: double-blind (review process)
- Access: all articles are free to read, with no registration (Open Access Policy, Copyright and Licence)
