1581025695 A STUDY ON ANIMATION FILM CHARACTER DESIGN IN DIGITAL ART

Today’s human being is living in a virtual age far beyond the traditions. This age integrates various digital products in different fields into our lives each passing day with the 4th industrial revolution. In this era where digital solutions were introduced in almost every field, needs and consumption habits of people have been differentiated. These habits are also seen in the world of contemporary art. The art of animation became a separate branch of cinema in today’s modern art. Animation with its effective two-dimensional and black-and-white examples in the previous eras has become a three-dimensional concept in today’s technology era. In this regard, the roles of characters in animations which are highly effective on masses of people, are very significant. Character designs are one of the fundamental building blocks of animations, whether they are inspired by traditional culture or designs with the traces of the age. In this study, the art of animation in the digital age was examined and some character designs acting as the lifeblood of animation were emphasized. The subject matter was interpreted with the support of the relevant literary, books, thesis and internet sources.
