1544259315 THE COPY OF THE ORIGINAL, THE ORIGINAL OF THE COPY IN ART

Baudrillard states that the fundamental disease in our age is the thing which is called the production and re-production of reality. According to him, in a capitalist society, with the serial production of images, simulation has replaced the description which is very essential in art. The thoughts of Baudrillard have in fact become more understandable and rightful today. The examples that we seen in the media in recent years both surprise us and demonstrate that the reality has been replaced by a universe of simulation and that now we could speak about a hyper-reality. The fate of modern and contemporary art could never be reduced to the “loss of aura”. Instead of this, (post)modernity demonstrates a complex play at the stage by removing and placing to its (new) location, removing from its homeland and relocating to somewhere else, releasing aura and then loading it again. Indeed, as in the case of “ready-object”, the more an object of art becomes indistinguishable from an object for use, the more it becomes necessary to certify and guarantee its uniqueness and its bearing the seal of the cultural authority.
