1551348517 DECONSTRUCTION IN CONTEMPORARY CERAMIC ART

With modernism, the artists abandoned the traditional methods, destroyed the conventional rules, and the art works moved away from the traditional style and moved the art to different dimensions. The modernization of modern and postmodern art and the re-shaping of these ties with tradition and non-modern ties has led to the emergence of different styles, orientations and approaches in contemporary ceramic art as in every field of art. This situation has differentiated the traditional connection between the aesthetic understanding and the ceramic art. This differentiation emphasized the fact that the perfectionist aesthetic case was replaced by new perspectives.
This study aims at examining the new production, style and expression styles of ceramic artists through the concept of deconstruction after the discontinuation of traditional production in today's ceramic art and breaking the aesthetic case based on perfection. The effects of clay on physical interventions and sometimes with chemical changes, gaining new meanings and contributions made to the language of narration are exemplified by contemporary ceramic artists. In addition, the concept of deconstruction has been examined in terms of the creation process and technical diversity of the artists. In the research, it has been observed that the concept of deconstruction provides different exhibitions, technical diversity and unusual style to the contemporary ceramic works. It is concluded that this concept will be an alternative for many artists in the future.
